Prevention is important, precisely for breeding animals and animals for fattening, particularly since breeders are not allowed to use any growth promoters with an antibiotic effect.
This is why we developed the organic special feed called ProEnMune from yeast cell walls.
Liquid yeast cell walls occur during the cultivation of yeast. They mainly consist of glucans and mannans. Their positive effect on the health of many animals has been scientifically proven. The polysaccharide beta-glucan stimulates the body’s own immune system and promotes growth as well as stress resistance. Mannans support the reproduction and stabilisation of the positive intestinal flora. In 2003, we had the idea of utilising the potential of these by-products. We use the waste heat of our biogas plant for the energy-intensive drying of the yeast cell walls.
The effects of ProEnMune are shown, for example, by the catfish larvae of Ahrenhorster Edelfisch: Their weight increased twice as much after 15 days of being fed with ProEnMune and their mortality rate was 21% lower than the control group, which was not given any special feed.
